It is with great sadness that we inform you that Friends & Farms is ceasing operations immediately and will not be delivering baskets this week. This message is particularly hard for us to deliver since so many of you have become part of our extended family.
Everyone on the F&F staff has been enriched by knowing each and every one of you. It has been an honor for us to serve you and your families over the last four years. While we believe that the model of aggregating food from local farms and food processors has great promise, we were simply unable to generate and maintain the customer base and growth necessary to continue operations.
In the next few days, we will review and update customer accounts to reflect last weekend's baskets and market orders. You will receive an email shortly that will reconcile your account to show any open balances or funds due. Please note the following:
- All market orders placed from Monday, June 13, 2016, through last night were canceled and were refunded this morning. In the case of orders made last evening, we voided the transaction and your credit card was not charged.
- All new subscriptions from Monday, June 13, 2016, through last night were canceled and were refunded this morning.
We will make every effort to resolve open accounts within the next 30 days. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We regret the news and hope that you will continue to patronize local farms and local food suppliers throughout the area.
