Parker Farms & The Northern Neck Farmer's Market

The Parkers

Clinton, MD

Full line of fruits and vegetables

Parker Farms is a multi-generation farm owned by brothers Chris and Rod Parker. Chris runs the Maryland operations and Rod runs the Virginia operations where the family produces most of their vegetables. Chris and Rod are very active in the community and have been long time supporters of the Washington Area Gleaners Network (WAGN), whose volunteers harvest Parker Farms crops for direct distribution to shelters and food banks in Maryland, DC, and Virginia.

Through their Virginia operations, Parker Farms is a member of the Northern Neck Vegetable Growers Association and manages the Association’s 60,000 square foot pack house, known as the Northern Neck Farmers Market, which is located in Oak Grove Virginia.  The Association is made up of 30 farms that grow a full range of vegetable crops on 3,200 acres in the Virginia Tidewater area.  Much of the crop variety produced by the Association is available through the Northern Neck Farmers Market and comes to Friends & Farms via Parker Farms.

The best thing about the relationship among Parker Farms, the Northern Neck Vegetable Association and Friends & Farms is that a portion of all sales go to support a scholarship program for youth interested in agriculture that is administered by the Association.
